Nomenclature

These profiles were produced in incrementing gain stages per amp/humbucker configuration. Much like Taco Bell with their deliciously increasing values of caliente sauce, we've labeled them accordingly:

Ex. "The Dartford EF86S - Hot - "

The Dartford - Represents the City of Origin of the Amp Profiled

EF86 - Represents the type of Tube Amp Profiled

S or H - Represents if the Amp was profiled with a Single Coil or Humbucker Pickup in Mind

Hot - Represents gain stage

Running two Kempers

If you are running two Kempers with different profiles, make sure to check that "Constant Latency" in the Systems Menu is set to ON. Without this there will be some phasing issues.

It is also very possible that a 180 degree phase shift might be needed for some profiles. If it sounds thin and has a weird gain structure between two Kempers, it is very likely that they are out of phase and need to be flipped.

Rare pedal add-ons

We've also captured amp tones with some classic and rare pedals adding some nice colouration. If your profile has a "+__" label at the gain stage, these correspond to a pedal:

+K = Original Silver Non-Horsie Klon from the Late 90s - When myths are truly alive

+D = Kingtone Duellist VERSION 1 - A very dynamic dual overdrive

+N = Original Nobels ODR-1 - A Nashville studio staple

+KT = Analogman King of Tone - Why wait for a waitlist?

+TS = Vintage 1980s TS-10 - One of the greatest Kijiji trades

+J = Jackson Prism - Slightly boosted for some hair

EQ Disclaimer

Our profiles were designed to be as plug and play as possible. Although this was the intended design, there are many factors that can affect tone (ie. play style, pedalboards, front of house, venue, a really frustrating day, being hungry, a really last minute setlist change, etc.) One must consider that these are merely suggested tone prints that were enjoyed by many who both listened and played through them in our studio and in our live tour and church context.

If at first play the tone is not to your liking, we suggest trying to add a "POST AMP" EQ in the FX Blocks section and tailoring the mids/mid-high of the EQ curve. As much as plug and play is the dream of every guitarist, every venue, speaker and headphone is completely different and some EQ'ing would need to occur.
