What versions of Mac OS are safe to use with the MainStage Kit?

As with all new OS updates, there is a high chance that you may run into hardware and software-related problems with Mac OS Big Sur. We have been reading reports that MainStage 3.5 has been crashing, and there have been numerous cases of OS-related issues.

If you must update to Big Sur or to MainStage 3.5, make sure to run a full backup of your system before proceeding. We also ask that you check in with the manufacturers of the software you use (ex. Logic, MainStage, Ableton, etc.). They will be able to give you a more accurate timeline for when it is safe to update. We will also release an update when we have fully confirmed that the update is safe.

As for the minimum requirements, you need minimum OS 10.14.6 in order to run the latest version of MainStage, and you must be running at least MainStage version 3.4.
